Junkyard Wars

Here we mould an existing stuff into something that one would never have thought about. This event is all about searching the ultimate hands on team with great design minds who can churn out anything from heaps of scrap. What we want from you is loads of enthusiasm, tons of perseverance, tolerance to a high magnitude of dirt & grease and finally a great general knowledge about how things work. Junkyard Wars is one of the all time favorites of masses, fetching it the maximum media attention.

Round 1:

There will be a written preliminary round to test the participant’s knowledge of mechanics and physics required to complete the goal of the problem.

Round 2:

• The teams are supposed to make a working prototype of some theme given by us.
• The junk provided would be revised.
• The winners will be declared on the basis of the judging criterion.
• Simple junk will be provided to the teams to build the prototypes.
• The tools will be provided at the venue.

Rules and Regulations

• The members in the team should not exceed 4.
• The teams qualifying round 1 will be eligible to participate in round 2.
• A working prototype is to be made in the stipulated time.
• No part of prototype should consist of foreign element, i.e; outside the domain of junk provided.
• Only the tools required to build the prototype will be provided.
• Participants shall not be allowed to leave the arena during the event.
• Students from different colleges may form a single team.

Eligibility Criteria:

• The entries are restricted to students currently pursuing education in any recognized institute.
• The participants may be asked to furnish the supporting documents at a later stage to prove the above mentioned criteria.

• First prize: Rs.2000/-
• Second prize:Rs.1000/-
